Offshore Debit Cards

What Are
Offshore Debit Cards?
An offshore debit card
provides you with the option of accessing your cash that
is being held for you in an offshore account or in a
location that is "offshore" from the country that you
live in.
An offshore debit card
works the same way as a regular debit card or
"onshore" card.
However, many people prefer
to use offshore services because it affords them a
degree of confidentiality and privacy in their financial
affairs that they may not have in their home countries.
For those are after
privacy, when dealing with an offshore debit card you
can request that your name does not appear on the card.
Therefore your name will NOT appear in cash dispensers
transactions lists when you withdraw cash from atm
machines worldwide.
Additionally, details about your card are not available
to third parties. Records are maintained with your bank
or the card issuer only.
offshore ATM cards or debit cards are usually just as
easy to apply for. In many cases all you have to do
provide is a copy of a government ID such as a passport
or drivers license.
Funding is easy too. Often, you can fund by
international SWIFT transfer or by check, egold, cash,
Western Union or any number of other options offered by
your card provider.
Regarding the price of offshore debit cards, I've found
that most seem to carry a higher price tag than
traditional onshore cards. Why that is, I don't know but
I guess if you're looking for privacy and
confidentiality, then you'll have to pay extra for it.
Depending on what kind of offshore card you're looking
for there are a variety of services available.
There are offshore atm cards that can only be used to
withdraw cash in world wide locations. And of course
there are offshore debit cards that you can use to make
purchases online and offline.
As with onshore cards, often all of these features can
be found on the same card as well. However, make sure
you do your homework first and check out all of the
features of a card before you sign on the virtual
"dotted line".
